Two boats, one goal
six days for developping the best teamwork!
… For where do you learn better that you sit together in a boat when on a boat?
In no other context good or bad teamwork is seen as quickly as on a boat under competition conditions.
Everyone counts and has to rely on others.
There are activities which should not take place at company’s premises such as teambuilding. Our experienced team, our sailboats and our excellent service is an ideal option for any company seeking to give their employees an unforgettable teambuilding experience. We can help you create a teambuilding programme that is best suited for your firm’s individual needs and will take care of everything else including provision of any necessary equipment or transportation.
Why Teambuilding on a sailboat?
A unique form of outdoor training requires the employees to come up with unconventional solutions to the given tasks, creativity and communication among team members.
The programme is interactive, fully engaging all those on board. The participants will be divided into groups of 4,5 or 6 members. Each group will be assigned a sailboat and will be accompanied by a professional skipper/coach. The skipper/coach will first explain how to navigate the sailboat to each of the group members and will then leave it up to the crew to organise themselves and get to an agreed location. The skipper/coach stays on board throughout the cruise and in case of bad weather or any unexpected situations will take over the navigation of the sailboat.
During the events, the participants of the team-building programme will face situations they have not experienced before. They will work in an unfamiliar environment with colleagues whom they might know only by sight.
But also if you need to build up a team from the start, the set-up on the boats gives you the best possible setting to learn their individual qualities and thus form your team .
This enables you to position each individual member with specific roles and tasks in the team and profit from maximal individual input and creativity.

Selection and composition of a management team
Through the competition conditions together with the intensive way of training the team (spirit), mutual success and failure is made visible.
Everyone learns from the team and will benefit from individual coaching as well.
Each individual brings its special ressources within the team and will find out how it can strengthen its role in the team. Simultaneously to this process the competition between the boats also counts, so that mutual understanding of each individual is also trained under physical and mental stress.
Two equal ships (Beneteau First 40.7 and Beneteau First 40CR) in direct competition show in no time, where a team is in need for improvement.
Within the relatively small space of a boat group processes can be experienced very directly.
On a ship each one relies to the other.
It is easy to spot whether an employee fits into the team or not. When competing between two boats, good teamwork and leadership leads to –immediate- success, this aspect is directly visible through the setup with the two equal boats.
We can accommodate up to 10 people, leadership and/or teamwork can be trained together (more ships with coaches can be made available if needed).
The following exercise is an example of a team training (in German) and can be customized based on the Team.
Participants live during the practice with the coaches on the boats.
Each boat normally has a maximum of 5 persons
In the evenings we anchor as much as possible, depending on the weather.
As the weather is usually sunny in the Mediterranean, you can expect to live outside,
more than inside the boat
To go ashore (in the bays while anchoring) is only possible via a dinghy. Each boat has its own; outboard motors are available.
The boats are 12 meters long and have three cabins with a double berth.
